Build Track
Build a working digital product that solves a real problem the Ummah is facing right now. It must actually work. No mockups. No theory. Live demo only: share a deployed link or your code so we can try it.
Apps. Websites. AI tools. Automations. Anything that serves people.

Don't know how to code? Bring your idea and pitch it. If it's strong, others will join you to build it. We also run workshops to help you develop your skills.

Storytelling Track
Show a real problem in the Ummah, make people feel its weight, then show what changes when it's solved.
Make it as a video. Use AI tools, traditional filming, or both. CapCut, Runway, Pika, Kling, ElevenLabs, your phone, your camera. Whatever moves hearts.
Who it's for: Creatives, storytellers, content creators. No coding needed. You just need to feel the problem deeply enough to make others feel it too.
Examples
Problem: Muslim youth feel disconnected from the Qur’an.
→ Show the loneliness and emptiness.
New reality: They reconnect with the Qur’an.
→ Show what their life, family, community, and heart now look like.
Problem: Muslim youth struggle to lower their gaze online.
→ Show the temptation, guilt, loss of control, and distance from Allah.
New reality: They learn to control their gaze.
→ Show the peace, self-control, stronger iman, and freedom they experience.
Problem: Muslim women feel pressured to change themselves to fit modern beauty standards.
→ Show the comparison, insecurity, filters, revealing trends, and feeling like they’re never beautiful enough.
New reality: They find confidence in their identity as Muslim women.
→ Show them feeling comfortable with themselves, dressing with dignity, worshipping Allah, and no longer measuring their worth by likes, beauty, or other people’s approval.
Problem: Muslim youth study only for grades, not to build something meaningful.
→ Show the stress, late-night studying, chasing marks, fear of failure, and feeling like all the effort has no real purpose.
New reality: They see education as a tool to serve the Ummah.
→ Show them using what they learned to build, solve problems, help people, and create something meaningful.
Problem: Muslim youth feel disconnected from the masjid and its Imam.
→ Show young Muslims struggling with life, but feeling like the masjid is only a place for prayer and the Imam is someone they rarely speak to.
New reality: The masjid and Imam become a home and support system for the youth.
→ Show the Imam knowing the youth personally, checking on them, listening to their problems, mentoring them, and creating a masjid where young Muslims feel they truly belong.
What you submit: A 60-second to 5-minute video, posted on Instagram or Google Drive.

What you post. Where. When.
After you finish your build (or your video), here's exactly what happens.
Step 1 · Submit before Sunday 10:00 AM
Upload to Instagram or Google Drive, whichever you prefer. Both count the same.
Instagram: Post to any account: your main, a new one, or a private team account. Doesn't matter. You don't need to show your face. You don't even need to use your name. Just post, and tag @confidentmuslim and @muis_malaysia as collaborators. Your Reel will appear on all pages at once.
Google Drive: Prefer not to post publicly? Upload your video to Drive and send us the link instead. Make sure sharing is set to anyone with the link so we can watch it.
Show the problem first. Then show the product.
Build Track: Video quality, lighting, editing, none of it matters here. Open with the problem the Ummah is facing, then show how what you built solves it. Then give us a way to try it ourselves: a link to the deployed app, or your code (GitHub or similar).
Storytelling Track: The video itself is the work. Quality, craft, emotion, all of it matters. Make us feel the world if no one solves this, and what it could look like if someone does.
Stage 1 · We watch every single submission
After the deadline, we watch every team's submission. From all of them, we pick the top 5 from the Build Track and the top 5 from the Storytelling Track. If your team is selected, you'll be notified at 1:00 PM.
Stage 2 · You take the stage
At 2:00 PM, your team presents live in front of all participants. Everyone gets a chance to vote for their best team.
If you wait until you're ready, you never will be.
Brothers and sisters in separate teams.
